“My brother was in an accident when I was young and he had to go to ICU. I was only 10 but I wanted to help him, and that’s when I decided to become a pediatrician. I was the first person in my family to go to college. I volunteered to help special-needs kids. In fact, I remember being pulled from class to go help other kids who needed extra help. I always enjoyed helping and working with kids. My mom called me ‘mother hen.’ Today, little has changed except that I am now in a position to help even more children – as a doctor.”
